  • What is powerlifting?
    Powerlifting is a competitive strength sport consisting of 3 attempts at maximal weight in the following lifts: squat, bench press, and deadlift. In competition, the lifts can be performed raw or equipped (in equipment).
  • What's a garage gym?
    A garage gym is just what it sounds like: a gym located in a garage. In our case, the gym is located in a detached garage behind a home.
  • What if I just want a gym membership?
    Just visit our 'Memberships' page and sign up for the "Just the Gym" membership. This membership operates as a normal gym membership.
  • I would like coaching, which membership do I get?
    Great question! If you're looking for some coaching with a standard (unpersonalized) program, then the Development plan is for you. If you're looking for a more personalized program with lots of edits and personalized coaching, the Dominate plan is for you. If you're still confused on what's right for you, schedule a consultation!
  • Why do I need to book my time?
    We're a garage gym. To maximize your use of the gym and because of COVID concerns, booking the gym ensures that you will be the only person present in the gym at your scheduled time.
  • Do I need to wear a mask during my workouts?
    For the initial consultation / gym visit, we ask that you please wear your mask. For subsequent workouts, a mask is not required, but encouraged. Each gym booking requires that you agree that you have not had a positive COVID test within 14 days and are not currently experiencing or have been exposed to someone with COVID-like symptoms. If you are feeling under the weather, please do not book the gym. The safety of our patrons is up utmost importance.
  • Is there a restroom on site?
    Yes, but not in the gym. Should a bathroom emergency arise, knock on the back door and someone can let you in the home so you can do your business.
